Terms of Service
What you’re agreeing to when you work with me, in plain English.
These terms explain what you’re agreeing to when you work with me. I’ve kept it short and written it the way I’d explain it to you in person.
What This Service Is
Pickin’ Up Those Peaces is a health, wellness, and life coaching practice. I hold my certification through Wellcoaches and my board certification through the NBHWC. Coaching is a collaborative process built around your goals: naming where you actually are, building a vision worth walking toward, and designing experiments that move you there.
This Is Not Therapy or Medical Advice
Coaching is not therapy, counseling, or medical treatment, and nothing said in a session should be treated as medical or psychiatric advice. I am not a licensed therapist, physician, or mental health provider. If you’re working through a mental health crisis, a diagnosed condition, or anything that needs clinical care, coaching is not a substitute for that care, and I will tell you so directly.
Scope of Practice
I work within the scope of a certified health, wellness, and life coach. When something you bring to a session is outside that scope, meaning it requires a doctor, a therapist, or another licensed professional, I’ll tell you plainly and help you find the right person. I’m not going to pretend to be qualified for something I’m not.
Cancellation Policy
Clients are required to provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a session. No-shows will be charged a $100 fee. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to the same fee at the coach’s discretion.
No Guarantee of Outcomes
Coaching is work you do, not something done to you. I bring my full attention, honesty, and experience to every session, but I can’t guarantee any specific result. Michael Cavett and Pickin’ Up Those Peaces are not liable for the outcomes of your choices, actions, or the pace of your progress. You are responsible for your own decisions during and after our work together.
